2019 Chevy Suburban and Tahoe
As other vehicles downsize, Chevrolet’s full-size utes seem to keep growing more large and in charge. For 2019, the burbling 6.2-liter V-8 that debuted on Chevy’s 2018 RST Performance Edition of the Tahoe and, later, the Suburban is now also available on fancier versions of both SUVs.
Ordering these trucks with the new Premier Plus package brings the 420-hp V-8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission, but without the RST’s body-color grille and blacked-out gloss trim. A traditional chrome appearance, including for the 22-inch wheels, pairs with a black-and-brown leather interior and heated and cooled front seats. A sunroof, power-retracting side steps, polished exhaust tip, a head-up display, an upgraded 8.0-inch display in the instrument cluster, and a rear Blu-ray entertainment system come along for the ride. Speaking of that ride, Magnetic Ride Control—GM’s innovative adaptive-damper system—is also standard, along with 4G LTE Wi-Fi and a cute little collapsible cargo organizer.
