Cruisin’ the USA in your Chevrolet virtual celebration

Chevrolet Is Hosting A Week Long Online Car Enthusiast Celebration

Chevrolet plans to host an online car enthusiast event later this month on its various social media pages that will celebrate some of the most beloved Chevy vehicles from the automaker’s past.

If you are looking for a new or pre-owned Chevrolet, visit Ron Westphal Chevrolet online or in person today.

“Chevrolet is reimagining summer car cruising through a week-long virtual festival – Cruisin’ the USA in your Chevrolet – that celebrates more than a century of the brand’s automotive history,” the automaker said in a statement. “Hosted on Chevy’s social media channels from August 10-16, the event is designed to take viewers back in time to experience the brand’s rich heritage of innovation, design and passion.”

This celebration is intended as a sort of unofficial replacement for the Woodward Dream Cruise, which was previously set to be held this month but was later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just like Dream Cruise, the online event will offer something for Chevy fans of all types, with each day incorporating a different theme.

The event will kick off by looking at back at the Chevrolet brand’s inception in 1911, with the automaker preparing to release archival videos from the last 109 years “showcasing Chevy’s memorable feats,” it said in a statement. The automaker will then move through the different eras and explore new themes each day of the celebration.

Additionally, each day will feature commentary and analysis from various Chevrolet experts, who will provide “in-depth looks at some of the brand’s most iconic vehicles housed at the General Motors Heritage Center and even share their own custom Chevy builds.”

The schedule of events for the “Cruisin the USA in your Chevrolet” online event is as follows:

  • August 10: The Origins and Innovations of Chevrolet
  • August 11: Chevy’s Most Iconic Designs
  • August 12: The Proud Truck Tradition
  • August 13: The Peak of Performance
  • August 14: Team Chevy – A Culture of Winning
  • August 15: Chevy’s Heritage – A Fan Celebration
  • August 16: Race Day – Cheering on Team Chevy at NASCAR and the NHRA Nationals
